Food Event: Dasho Bhujar Agomoni
Duration: 22 – 25 Oct 2020 (Lunch & Dinner)
Only when the ongoing 9 days long Durga Puja was coming to it’s end and I was missing out on the mandatory Pujo Bhog of our residential complex and bengali cuisine dine-outs with friends, all thanks to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, The Stadel surprised me by sending a lavish platter of all vegetarian wares from it’s ongoing Pujo food festival called Dasho Bhujar Agomoni!
The food festival is available as a buffet spread of multiple vegetarian and non-vegetarian items at their multicuisine restaurant, First Innings.
My food parcel comprised of 18 different items. The festival menu comprises of as many more veg items, alongside a bevy of all popular non-veg items.

I received the following items –
– Starter –
Narkel diye kalmi sager bora and Aam ada diye vegetable cutlet
– Salad –

Cucumber, mulo, beetroot, lachcha pyaz, lonka, lebu
– Dal –
Kaju kishmish diye cholar dal and Sobzi diye sona moong dal
– Rice –

Gobindo bhog basanti pulao and Ghee bhat
– Sabji –
Moshla alur dum, Aloo phulkopir rosha, Kacha amer bhindi masala, Kodaisuti chanar dalna and Mukto mukhi sukto

– Bread –
Beetroot Kochuri, Lachcha Paratha and Luchi
– Dessert –
Mishti Doi, Langcha, Rosogolla and Chaler Payesh

Though by now, I have tasted assorted boras and dalnas of the Bengali cuisine, Narkel diye kalmi sager bora and Kodaisuti chanar dalna were new to me.
I found the preparation style of Kacha amer bhindi masala i.e. okra prepared with raw mango quite interesting and compatible with Ghee bhat or Steamed rice.
All the items tasted nice and had that unmistakable Bengali cuisine flavor. My personal favourites were Moshla alur dum and Mukto mukhi sukto and Langcha.
Beetroot Kochuri concept was also good.
The entire platter was more than enough for 4 people.
