Vegetarian Bengali Cuisine By Anjali Bhattacharjee πŸ™‚

I am blessed with foodie girlfriends cum home chefs who prepare yummy cuisine of their region and care to make it all veg to suit the palate of few of us who are vegetarians.

Few months back Anjali Bhattacharjee dished out a fantastic Bengali Cuisine meal for us.

It comprised of –

– Aam Pora Sharbat as the welcome beverage. The sweet-tangy beverage was a nice thirst quencher.

Aam Pora Sharbat

– Paneer Tikka & Sweet Corn Ball as the starters, well accompanied with Sweet Red Chilli Sauce and a curd based dip. Both the items tasted fabulous.

– Cholar Dal, Dhokar Dalna, Begun Bhaja, Potol Bhaja, Onion Raita, Tomato Khejur Chutney and Aloo Puri as the wholesome main course, which was quite aromatic and tasty.

Plus there was Veg Yakhni Pulao with the right mix of curd and spices and topped with enough fried onions and cashews. It was tasty as well.

– Rosogollar Payesh and two types of Dudh Puli, one sweetened with jaggery and the other with sugar, were served as desserts, which were clearly the heroes of the entire meal.

The jaggery based Dudh Puli was too good.

Needless to say, it was a lovely and wholesome meal prepared lovingly by Anjali.

Thank you Anjie!! 😘
