Pawanputra, the popular vegetarian multicuisine diner had introduced a special menu called The Valentine’s Extravaganza for the Valentine’s Week which was from 7-14 Feb.
It comprised of two set meals, each of which comprised of a Love Special Mocktail, a starter, two main course dishes and a dessert.
Each meal was meant for two people and priced Rs. 799/-.
Four of us foodie girlfriends found this offer apt to celebrate our Galantines and visited the aforementioned diner on Valentine’s Day.
It was cutely decorated with heart shaped balloons and other decoratives.
The doorman courteously wished us ‘Happy Valentine’s’ while opening the restaurant gate.
Since we were four in number, we ordered both the set meals.
The first meal was called Eat, Sip, Love Combo and it’s starter and main course comprised of –
– Starter –
– Tandoori Kebab Platter: Tandoori broccoli, malai paneer tikka and stuffed tandoori aloo with some side salad
– Main Course –
– Nasi Goreng: Indonesian fried rice topped with a vegetable patty and red curry
– Rose Petal Kofta: Combo of naan and kofta in red gravy
The second meal was called A Combo Of Romance and and it’s starter and main course comprised of –
– Starter –
– Assorted Dishes Platter: Lebanese wrap, ajwaini paneer tikka and cheese finger
– Main Course –
– Chinese Sizzler: Garlic noodles with schezwan paneer and baby corn fritters
– Pasta Bolognese With Veg Casserole: Pasta cooked in veg bolognese sauce and served with mexican veg casserole
For dessert, we were given a choice of Gulab Jamun or Ice cream. Naturally, we ordered one of each. Out of the available ice cream flavours, we opted for Strawberry Ice cream.
All the items tasted good.
The total portion served was more than enough for 4 people. In fact we were easily able to divide each dish into 4 portions. So, effectively each of us tasted a total of 9 dishes!!
We loved the decorative flower carved out of a beetroot on Starter plates.
The only hitch was that, only one mocktail with 2 straws was served with each set meal. But since we were not actually love partners but foodie girlfriends, we had to further order 2 aerated beverages so that each of us could have a separate beverage.
The hospitality and service was quite good.
It was a lovely Galantines luncheon. We got much more than we spent.
